Exit Questions for IT 365

1) How would you explain technology integration to a future student's parents?
Basically I would say that we would be using the Internet to research for reports, watching video that pertain to technology like the sexting video. That they would be learning about blogger, twitter and meta search.

2) Give an example of how you would integrate the subject matter from a class or classes taken this semester with technology.

You can use technology in the classroom with science, and social studies

3) A. Give an example of hardware and software.
Hard drive, CD, floppy, jump drive, keyboard, mouse, joystick.

B. Give an example of a browser.
Fire fox, and Internet explorer

C. Give an example of a search engine.
dog pile.com, meta-search.

D. Give an example of a spread sheet program and data base program.
access

4) Out of a legal issues we discussed in class, what do you believe is the most important for the future classes you will teach.
That in a classroom to use videos they have to be approved first. That we are not allowed to bring a video into the classroom and use it.

5) If the partners were randomly chosen, do you believe working with partners is a computer lab is worthwhile? Why or why not?
I feel that it can be worthwhile to have a partner in a computer lab because sometimes two heads are better than one. Both people can research information and come up with different thoughts and ideas to make the project better.

6) Several of you have mentioned adding class assignments that are outside of the computer lab (i.e. Football game, recycling). Name on technology-based activity that would work outside of class. Any type of sporting event work work like hockey, golf, basket ball, movies concerts. This would be fun because a student can bring that into the classroom and discuss what technologies was used.

7) If Twitter is to be used in future IT 365 classes, what recommendation would you make so that we have a more user-friendly experience?

I think that twitter is very user friendly. I think it is a good idea to use in a classroom but guidelines need to be set better and that it should only pertain to school stuff not outside just texting of nonsense. I just think that people need to be more conscientious about what they are tweeting about and at what times they are tweeting.

8) What technology related activity, etc. did you learn from this class, that you didn't know before enrolling and that you feel confident enough to do or use on your own without any help? I did not now about twitter or about blogger and now I know how to use both and I really feel that I can get around and definitely use both of these programs.

9) What technology-related subject/area/program, etc. did we not cover that you feel should be caved in this class in the future?

It would have been cool to learn more about Edu Ware. I think that was a pretty interesting site that could be used in a classroom. Very user friendly and informational.

10) what technology-based activity in this class do you feel was most beneficial to your future as an educator? I really liked doing the concept maps and and creating a website was pretty interesting. I really did enjoy the class overall.
